In the latest Galaxy flagship phone line from Samsung, the S22 is the standard model. The Galaxy S22 is the standard model of the Galaxy S22 range of devices.
Unlike the Galaxy S21, the Galaxy S22 is largely an iterative upgrade, and it only has a slightly smaller screen and battery than the Galaxy S21.

The S22 Ultra, however, was not the case, and we also have hands-on reviews of that phone in addition to the S22 Plus, but we are focusing on the S22 model.

There aren't as many changes to the S22's camera array as there were to its predecessor; it's more of a reshuffle, as the main camera's resolution is higher while the telephotos is lower.

Nevertheless, it doesn't significantly alter the overall photography experience.

Availability of Samsung Galaxy S22

On 9th February, Samsung Unpacked launched the Galaxy S22 phones. Those interested in pre-ordering the Galaxy S22 phone have been able to do so immediately. The phones will be available for pre-order on February 25th.

It will come out a little later in the year than the S21, which was unveiled on 14th January 2021 and became available on 29th of that same month.

Galaxy S22 prices

Prices for the Galaxy S22 are £769 / $799 / AU$1249 for 128GB and £819 / $849 / AU$1349 for 256GB. With the Galaxy S22+, you can choose between £1,049 / $949 / AU$1549 (128GB) or £1,499 / $1049 / AU$1649 (256GB).

With the highest level of storage, the S22 Ultra will cost you £1149 / $1199 / AU$1849 (128GB), £1249 / $1299 / AU$1999 (256GB), £1329 / $1399 / AU$2149 (512GB) or £1499 / $1599 / AU$2449 (1TB).

It's not too late to pick up an outgoing Galaxy S21 for much less, so if you're interested in one, there's a deal going on right now. You can get £100 off at Amazon right now.

Besides the Galaxy S21 FE, Samsung recently announced the Galaxy S21 FE. Consider the S21 as a greater hits version, with a slightly larger screen, a battery that lasts longer, and a lower price. Despite its price tag, it is a good option for those who want the Galaxy S experience without the hefty price tag.

Design of the Samsung Galaxy S22

Compared to last year's Galaxy S21, the Galaxy S22 and S22 Plus have a very similar look. On the back of these handsets are three rear-facing cameras, one inserted into a punch-hole at the top of the screen.

The Galaxy S22 Ultra has undergone a significant redesign, however. One feature of the phone is the S Pen it has embedded into the bottom, but its back is also unique, with all of the cameras separate from one another. Each of the three models has an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor under the display for unlocking. S22s also features IP68 dust and water resistance, preventing contaminants from getting inside the phone. Due to the use of Gorilla Glass Victus Plus, Corning's toughest glass for phones, the screens should also be more than ample in terms of durability.

Phantom Black, Phantom White, Green, and Pink Gold are the four colors available for the S22 and S22 Plus. As well as Phantom Black, Phantom White, and Green, the S22 Ultra is also available in Burgundy.

The Samsung Galaxy S22 camera

You'll find the same selection of cameras on either the S22 or S22 Plus. This device also features a 50MP main camera, 12-megapixel ultrawide camera, and a 10-megapixel telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. In addition, there is a single 10MP camera on the front.

With the exception of one camera, the S22 Ultra offers more than these specs. Currently, the main camera has a 108MP sensor, and two telephoto cameras have been added, one with a 3x optical zoom lens and the other with a 10x optical zoom lens. It has a 40MP selfie camera as well.

Also on the software side, Samsung has some new goodies. The S22 cameras also have "Nightography" features, which can capture more detail in images taken in low light by capturing more light. Additionally, users can now opt to have the phone keep track of ten people in the frame at the same time with the Auto Framing mode. Use Samsung's new Expert RAW app for more precise editing of photos after taking them, allowing you to capture images in RAW format for more precise editing after taking the shot.

Check out the Samsung Galaxy S22 specs

It is official that Samsung's S22 series runs on a 4nm processor. What's the deal?

As a result, where you live determines what kind of chip you get.

The S22 will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip for U.S. buyers, while U.K. residents and anyone outside of the United States will receive the Exynos 2200. It's true that Snapdragon chips tend to perform better on computing benchmarks than Samsung's Exynos chips, but this year the Snapdragon 2200 has an AMD RDNA-powered GPU. That could give Canadian and European users a better gaming experience than American users. With the S22 and S22 Plus, the storage will be 128GB or 256GB, depending on the processor you select. There are four storage capacities available with the S22 Ultra: 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB

Charging and battery of the Samsung Galaxy S22

Since last year's S22 and S22 Plus, their battery capacities have also been reduced a little. Battery capacities for the S22 and S22 Plus are 3,700 mAh and 4,500 mAh, respectively. A 5,000 mAh battery powers the S22 Ultra.

S22s still have the same wireless charging and wired charging speeds: 25W and 15W. In addition, the S22 Plus and Ultra now support 45W wired charging, allowing recharging to be completed faster. These phones do not come with chargers in the box, which is the only concern. To ensure that you get the fastest speeds possible, you'll need a compatible charger, or you can charge with any USB-C plug but you won't reach those promised speeds.

Galaxy S22 software

Samsung's One UI 4 interface is used on the S22 series, which runs Android 12. In addition to the basic functional updates, Samsung is introducing Material You-based design
