After many leaks and speculations, Oneplusfinally released the more affordable smartphones in its Nord lineup. The new phone is quite different from what we have come to expect from Oneplus devices but considering the price, the specs seem reasonable enough.
The Oneplus Nord N10 comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 690 processor making it the first Oneplus device to use a 600 series SoC. It comes with a 6GB of ram and 128GB UFS 2.1 storage. Display duties are handled by a 6.49inch, 90hz 1080p LCD panel protected by Corning Gorilla Glass3.it also packs a decently sized 4300mAh cell.
The device also has support for Dual Sim and a MicroSD card for expansion. For sound, the phone has dual speakers and a headphone jack.
As for cameras, the rear of the device has a quad-camera setup consisting of a 64 MP main sensor, an 8 MP ultrawide, a 2 MP depth sensor and another 2MP Macro lens. The setup supports up to 4K 30fps video. The front camera is a 16MP unit and supports up to 1080p 60fps video.
The Nord N10 being a $300 smartphone has a plastic build and does not really seem like a Oneplus device at first glance. Rather it looks quite similar to some offerings by its partner company Oppo. The only thing that identifies it as a Oneplus device is the Oneplus logo and the OxygenOS skin. It also features a rear capacitive fingerprint scanner.
This phone obviously does not have the smooth performance of its flagship siblings as is expected considering the specs. It offers a decent performance with a few slowdowns here and there but nothing that would bother most people buying this smartphone. Keeping the specs and price in mind the device should provide a good enough experience for most users in this segment. OxygenOS is known for its snappy performance and is regarded as one of the best Android skins in the market. Hence we can expect the phone to perform good here too.
OnePlus has not launched the Nord N10 in the Indian market. Its primary focus with these devices is towards the European and American markets where it is priced at 249 Euros for the European market and$300 for the US.
